There has been loads of speculation about the future of Lewis Hamilton but he has finally announced that he has signed a £60m deal to join F1 Mercedes in a 3 year deal. This has forced the German Legend Michael Schumacher out of the Mercedes team and it’s not clear if he will go back into retirement or look at another team.
Lewis Hamilton was recorded as saying about the move “It is now time for me to take on a fresh challenge and I am very excited to begin a new chapter”.
Aged only 27, Lewis Hamilton’s decision has come as a huge blow to the McLaren team as they have nurtured this young man since the age of 13 years old. Will the McLaren team loose fans because of this move? I suppose we have to wait until next year to see what happens.
I for one am looking forward to the 2013 F1 season as its going to be such an exciting year in F1 Sport.
