With our Grand Prix Packages kicking off on the 16th March, we thought it would be a good idea to take a look at some of Formula One’s rising stars. F1 drivers have to start somewhere and you will find that most of them start at a very young age in Go karting.
One young person to watch out for on the Formula one circuit is a young nineteen year old called Matt Parry. Only this month he won the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. His prize was £100,000, full BRDC membership, and Arai Carbon helmet and a McLaren F1 test drive. Previous winners have included David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Paul di Resta. Matt started karting at the age of 12 and is a member of the Caterham F1 Driving academy. The academy was set up to give an array of talent around the world the chance to climb through the racing ranks. Members include Alexander Rossi, Daim Hishammudin, Will Stevens, Weiron tan, Sergio Canamasas and Aurelien Panis.
We definitely suggest watching out for these upcoming stars on the Formula one track and maybe the next time you book Grand Prix Packages you will see one of these stars on the wining podium.
